The Thing with Bullies

The thing with bullies is that they don't stop even after you've ask them to stop. They keep picking on you. Don't bullies realize that they hurt, bring down and destroy the self-confidence of their fellow human beings? I guess that makes them happy.

Edelweiss

"Edelweiss is a show tune from the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music. It is named after the edelweiss, a white flower found high in the Alps (Leontopodium alpinum). It was created for the 1959 Broadway production of The Sound of Music in the role originated by performer Theodore Bikel as a song for the character of Captain Georg Ludwig von Trapp. In the musical Captain von Trapp and his family sing this song during the concert near the end of Act II as a statement of Austrian patriotism in the face of the pressure put upon him to join the navy of Nazi Germany following the Anschluss. Always Something Going On

Here's me with another tune I call "Always Something Going On". No lyrics yet. Just the chords and the melody.

Game On

First Wreck-it Ralph and now Pixels (based on an internet short film of the same name). There seems to be a trend of video games coming to life on the big screen. This brings back fond memories of games of old, of Tron and The Last Starfighter, of Starcade, of coin operated arcade games and of Atari and Nintendo.

Tron

"Tron is a 1982 American science fiction film written and directed by Steven Lisberger, based on a story by Lisberger and Bonnie MacBird, and produced by Walt Disney Productions. The film stars Jeff Bridges as a computer programmer who is transported inside the software world of a mainframe computer, where he interacts with various programs in his attempt to get back out."

The Last Starfighter
"The Last Starfighter is a 1984 American space opera film directed by Nick Castle. The film tells the story of Alex Rogan (Lance Guest), an average teenage boy recruited by an alien defense force to fight in an interstellar war."

Starcade
"TVs first and only video arcade games show." "Starcade is a game show where contestants competed against one another by playing arcade video games. The series originally aired on WTBS from 1982–1983, followed by a run in syndication for the following season."

Atari 2600

Nintendo Family Computer
